What will we cover:
Oracle SOA Suite is a complete set of service infrastructure components for building, deploying, and managing service-oriented architectures. Oracle SOA Suite enables services to be created, managed, and orchestrated into composite applications and business processes. With Oracle SOA Suite's hot-pluggable components, organizations can extend and evolve their architectures easily without needing to replace existing investments. Oracle SOA Suite includes capabilities for connectivity to back-end systems (adapters) and trading partners (B2B), Enterprise Service Bus mediation capabilities, transformation (XSLT), orchestration (BPEL), business activity monitoring(BAM) and security and management of Web services.
This hands-on workshop on Oracle SOA Suite 11g showcases the support for the Service Component Architecture (SCA) standard in Oracle SOA Suite through the new composite assembly editor in JDeveloper as well as a unified service engine foundation for the full set of SOA Suite components. You will get detailed insight into the new features of SOA Suite including native support for eventing, rich AJAX Human Task forms leveraging Oracle ADF, and Rules authoring with JDeveloper.

This Boot Camp is designed for architects, technical consultants, team/project leaders and functional consultants (Strategic ISV, Strategic System Integrators, Oracle internal) sof our system integrator partners who want to ramp-up on our SOA Suite 11g technology.
Required skills:
To ensure a valuable learning experience, participation in this boot camp requires that participants have minimum knowledge of web services and XML technologies and preferably some prior experience with BPEL PM.

Equipment Requirements:
This workshop requires attendees to provide their own laptops for this class. Attendee laptops must meet the following minimum hardware/software requirements:

Minimum 3GB RAM. 25GB free disk space
Firefox 3.0 or higher / Internet Explorer 7
VMWARE Player (the latest version)
WINRAR

Attendees will be given a VMWARE image containing the SOA Suite 11g software along with JDeveloper. However, you will have the opportunity to install the software locally, if required. For those wanting to install the SOA Suite software, you will need to have a database installed:

XE is recommended, however you could use Oracle DB versions 10.2.0.4+ or 11.1.0.7+.
